My Review:
This was a very well written book that kept me entertained. I liked reading Beth and Jeffery's story. This was the first book that I have read by Miralee, but I will surely read more of her work. This was heartfelt story. Beth doesn't know about her past, but when she learns about it, it is a little heartwrenching. Great job Miralee

Hi Melanie, I'm so glad you stopped in! I think I'd have to say Christy Grey from Love Finds You in Tombstone, AZ, but I really loved Angel from Sundance, WY, as well. Both were extremely strong western women dealing with very difficult circumstances....but then, so was Katherine in Blowing on Dandelions, and she handed it with such grace. I get very connected to my characters and have a hard time letting them go and moving on to another book, so you asked me a hard one, LOL! As you can see, it's hard to pick just one! Thanks!

Hi Martha, great to see you here! You asked two that I haven't been asked yet, LOL! There are still lots of unanswered questions people haven't asked. Yes, I have one grandchild, the little girl you saw, Kate...she's 10 months old now. Then my husband has 3 grandchildren from the daughter we didn't know he had until she was 18 (her story is what gave me the idea for the book The Other Daughter). Thanks for the great question!

ReplyDeleteHi Caryl, yes, I have several lines that really resounded with me, but I'm sorry to say I don't have them memorized or in a place where I can easily find them. I need to do that, don't I? Put my fav lines from each book in a file. What a great idea! But I can tell you they were things Aunt Wilma said to Beth about how God looks at her that had to do with accepting herself. Thank you so much for the excellent question, and forgive me for not being more specific.

Hi Liz, it's so hard to choose because different ones have different meaning to me. I KNOW the Lord instructed me to write The Other Daughter and Blowing on Dandelions, so those hold a very special place in my heart. I love the old west/western themes/action/adventure and the heroines in LFY in Tombstone and LFY in Sundance, WY, so those are my favorite Love Finds You books....see my quandary, LOL! Thanks!

Hi Janice, since I'm not writing medical or sci-fi or detective/suspense type novels, I really don't do the kind of research when I need to interview a live person. The type I do is visiting museums, historical societies, old landmarks, cemeteries, reading historical archives, etc. I did interview one historian but mostly I took tons of notes, and I was very fortunate in that he'd compiled a lot of historical facts in a book about the town where my story was set. Thanks for the great question!
